| What things have gone wrong with the car? | weak engine, small gas tank, stiff truck ride (but it is a truck afterall) mysterious rattles. not a great highway cruiser by comparison to the larger SUVs. | |
| General comments? | An econobox ride. engine is weak on the highway but economical. reminds me of my first honda civic. it has some mysterious rattles in the dashboard area and it is only 3 months old. But I still like it. fun to drive around town, turns on a dime. I like the back door even thought it is hinged on the wrong side. the low floor at the back is great for sitting on and putting on ski boots while sheltered from the wind by the back door. easy for the dog to hop in the back as well. AWD is confidence inspiring in the snow. Toyota was surprisingly willing to deal and offer low interest financing, while honda had a take it or leave it attitude. So, we left it and bought our first toyota (after 5 hondas) This is a compromise vehicle for someone who wants reasonable economy and useful utility. I commute to work with it but really bought it for what I can stuff into it on weekends (skis, dog, kayak stuff, cottage stuff etc.) | |
| Previous car | Tahoe (great truck, but getting too expensive) Trailblazer (not as good as a Tahoe, but still pretty luxurious by comparison to a RAV 4) test drove just about every SUV. | |
