| What things have gone wrong with the car? | Pricing. Any time a vehicle's base price rises by close to $10K from the base model to the top of the line, you have a problem. I cannot imagine that the few additional features really cost Toyota that much to add on. Plus, ABS should be standard on all models. | |
| General comments? | First off, I read countless reviews before purchasing this product and all of them stated the same thing...a great handling vehicle with moderate off-road capabilities and good winter driving characteristics. They also ALL mentioned the fact that the 2.0 engine was underpowered for this vehicle. I guess I was prepared for the worst because I actually find the engine quite peppy in the city. No problem keeping up with traffic and the engine has enough pep to get you off the line and on your way faster than almost all other 'cute-utes' that I tested. Highway driving is not as nice but I've adjusted quickly and can 'tap' some power to pass. | |
