| General comments? | My girlfriend bought this overpriced contraption for $26,000 CDN and I have never been so unimpressed by a Toyota product. I used to have a lot of respect for Toyota until I drove this. Engine has poor acceleration and sounds like a Sherman tank at anything more than 4500 RPM. It corners ok, but not great. It is an SUV after all. Excessive road noise at anything more than 100 kph. I am 5'10" and had a hard time sitting in the drivers seat (Is this as far back as it goes?), to say nothing of the stiffness and lack of comfort. No room in the backseat for a child older than 5. Cargo space is scarce in the back. Stereo is absolute garbage. I mean for $26,000 you can get a 2 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee, to which the RAV4 doesn't even compare.If you are 5'2" and need a vehicle for winter driving, and don't mind spending lots of money, you've found your niche.
