this is the best car i've ever bought, running costs are low, very good milage and the ride and handeling are excellent. bought a second rav4 '96 for my wife and she loves it....

I really loved this car up until this problem. It gave me no trouble. It was very nice looking inside and out. A little slow on pickup, however braking was excellent. The cargo area was small and did not come with standard tonneau cover, so it was cheaper to have the windows tinted. The sound system is hard to beat. The doors were light and easy to open & close. The size of this year of RAV4 is perfect! I'm a short person, 5'-0" to be exact, and the RAV4 has been a great car for me. I have hauled tons of stuff in it from 3 medium dogs to a rototiller.

Wouldn't like to stay with RAV4 but the designers hosed the new design. Who says bigger is alway better....
